The Current Threat
A West Virginia corporation, Dominion Transmission Inc. (DTI), is planning to build an 11-acre
industrial facility between Rt. 340, Rt. 180 and Gene Hemp Rd. on the edge of Jefferson, MD. This
PEAK Gas Compressor Facility is part of a huge "Gas Storage Factory" project. Check out
or for more details.
Support from the Board of County Commissioners
A few days ago a letter of support, signed by all five members of the board, was sent to FERC. JMDCA is VERY pleased with this development.
The letter was well timed, well written, and on point and you can see it
.
Way To Go Jefferson!
Thanks to the community we have dozens of filings with FERC. While the formal
scoping period has ended, we have found out that FERC will accept comments up
until Dominion files an application. If you have not filed so far, we encourage you
to do so.
See for a list of ideas to help with your filing!
Huge turnout for June 19th Scope Meeting.
See our

Congratulations Jefferson! The turn out for the June 19th scope meeting was impressive. Approximately
500 people attended the environmental scoping meeting. This is still the beginning of the process for
Dominion. We urge everyone to file their concerns with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
(FERC) by June 23rd. This is a FIRM deadline! We also request you send copies of your letters to the list
of local elected officials.
